A Bit About Us
Gibb Widdis CPAs Professional Corporation originally began as a partnership between Colleen Gibb and Geoffrey Widdis in 1995. We started with an office on Golf Links Road in Ancaster and a year later, expanded to add a new office in Brantford. We grew to include several Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, a Certified General Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, A Certified Fraud Examiner and many other very talented individuals. Unfortunately Geoffrey passed away at the much too young age of 41 and now Colleen Gibb steers the team. As our team grew, so did our office requirements, and in the summer of 2008, moved to our new location at 1425 Cormorant Road in Ancaster’s Business Park.
Gibb Widdis includes a team of experienced professionals knowledgeable in the latest accounting standards and pronouncements. We are getting ready for the new International Financial Reporting Standards which become effective January 1, 2011 (but companies will need to track the new information for 2010 as comparative statements will need to be prepared too.) We can also assist you in selecting and implementing accounting software that meets your needs and can even dial into to your computer to assist you with an accounting problem you may be having.
We service a diverse clientele across Ontario, and work with each of them to meet their financial goals. We enjoy meeting clients at their locations but also are happy to meet with them in our office. We pride ourselves on providing the services, tools and resources our clients and their businesses need to be financially successful.
